➤ About the chapter:

In the second chapter, the main character, Khorviir describes what happened after the ravens attacked.

When the main character gets attacked by the bloodthirsty ravens, he falls down below the tree. The man can see his homeland burn to ashes and people running away in pain and fear. His world is falling apart.

Khorviir lays down below the tree when the birds savage his body and eat him alive. However, the pain stops after a while as he feels some unknown power growing inside of him.

I felt sharp pain when heart was eaten by wild ravens
I raised in mountains, now I see how they collapse
The forest burns, I'm looking how the leaves are falling
Counting on divine power, which is still growing inside my body

Laying on ground I stared at my personal ending
I saw the light entering through my barely closed eyes
I've seen the symbols foreshadowing king's arrival
The flames are everywhere, and red stars are above

The final day, mourning and lament
My brothers are dead, but I have awakened

(The King fell asleep centuries ago
but today he will awake
his black-feathered sister kills thousands of innocent beings
and his beloved world is dying at the claws of famining birds)

My soul gets combined with tranquility of nature
My body stuck to earth releasing roots of anger
Losing my sanity but gaining leafy crown
My new desire is to bring the raven down
