In the sixth chapter, Maalak meets the first person during his lonely journey - the crying girl Araya

After leaving the city, the main character goes through the fields and suburbs giving up all his faith that there are other people on this island.
After a long walk, however, he notices a person in the middle of the road. This time the sight was too clear to be only in his imagination. When the man comes closer, it turns out that this person is a crying woman who covers her teary face.
Maalak decides to approach the girl to ask what happened to her and why there is nobody else besides her on the island. When the girl lowers her hands, the man notices that she is crying with blood. The woman's eyes start turning black and her gaze penetrates right through the soul of Maalak.
The man loses consciousness and finds himself in a void inside of his own mind. Inside of it, he meets the same humanoid being he saw in the city. When the hooded character with blood on his face and hands reaches out with his arm to Maalak, he quickly realizes that It is the same hand that saved him from drowning. The man decides to reach his own hand towards the being, and when they get in contact, his arms start burning. Both of the man's hands are set up in flames which causes him a huge pain. Maalak starts getting visions which explain the whole situation to him.
The girl he met was a demon named Araya who haunts the island. She is the person who centuries ago lived on this land with hundreds of other people when the previous 'Eternal Night' occurred. The situation she found herself in forced her to use the preternatural event for her own advantage. She decided to purposefully get cursed and possess the power to kill all the people to get revenge for what they did to her in the past. After the slaughter, she was left completely alone. The curse promised her one thing - that if she waits for the next 'Eternal Night', another lonely person will show up who will stay with her forever. This person was Maalak. The man was destined to appear on the island to fulfill his prophecy.
The main character learns that the being who saved him and who appeared in his visions was none other than himself. Maalak was destined to become a similar being to Araya.
The man wakes up on the road with blood streaming out of his eyes and hands. He learns that he will never escape the island and that the only person he will see for the rest of eternity is Araya. Maalak, filled with grief, confusion, and loneliness decides to walk away from the demoness to collect his thoughts about what he will have to live with for the rest of his eternal life.
